A lot is changing musically lately – I’m embracing mp3/wav copies of compact discs, which gives me much more control over my listening habits; I discovered the wonders of Tidal (it’s not just hip-hop like I thought); and I’m reconnecting with albums and songs I haven’t heard for decades.
This week, let’s explore “Sleepless” from King Crimson. This is a live version and shows the musical complexity of the band at the time. Whoever filmed this was clearly focused on bassist Tony Levin. The entire song is incredible, and Adrian Belew’s guitar work is nothing short of stellar.
Enjoy “Sleepless” and check out more King Crimson on Tidal (the best place to hear streaming music – more on this in a later post).
